Neighbor entertaining neighbor

The Norris Little Theatre is a non-profit all-volunteer community theatre based in historic Norris, TN.   As neighbors entertaining neighbors, we perform stage plays, musicals and other theatrical endeavors.

The Norris Little Theatre originallly launched in 1936.  It was at one time the oldest running community theatre in the State of Tennessee until a disastrous fire in 1980 caused our temporary demise.  In 2009, a group of hard working members of the community came together and successfully launched "A Few Good Men", 30 years to the day of it's last production! Since that first production, "And Then There Were None", "The Foreigner", "A Grand Night For Singing", "Blithe Spirit", "Nunsense A-Men", and "The Importance of Being Earnest" have successfully followed.

As part of the Norris' Summer Recreation Program, NLT offers a Children's Theatre Program.  Here children have the opportunity to learn different aspects of the theatre and perform their own small production at the end of the 6 week program.

Norris Little Theatre is truly a community theatre.  From Board members to cast members and hard working production crews, all are volunteers from Norris and nearby communities.  Even our mayor has often dressed in black to help set the stage between scenes, or memorized a line or two! We are ever thankful for all our diligent volunteers and supporters.   Without them we would not exist.

We average 2 productions each year, in the Spring and Fall.  We advertise our auditions and shows in our local media (i.e. The Norris Bulletin, The Voice, The Oak Ridge Journal, Facebook).  If you would like to join the NLT family or would like more information, please contact us via email and be sure to "Like" us on Facebook.
