AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE EXISTING TITLE 2, SECTION 4 OF THE NORRIS MUNICIPAL CODE, AS RECOMMENDED
BY THE NORRIS RECYCLE COMMISSION.
the Norris Recycle Commission desires to update Title 2, Section 4 of the City of Norris Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Norris Recycle Commission has recommended an amended Title 2, Section 4 that
includes Conservation be adopted by the Norris City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City
of Norris City Council has the authority to amend the Municipal Code; and
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Norris, Tennessee as follows:
1. Title 2, Section 4 of the City of Norris Municipal Code be amended by replacing the current title
of "RECYCLE COMMISSION" with "CONSERVATION/RECYCLE COMMISSION."
Section 2. Title 2, Section 4 of the City of Norris Municipal Code be amended by replacing

Duties and Responsibilities. The shall report to the city manager and through him to the city council. The
commission shall work with city organizations as needed, to help maintain an effective and economical solid wast recyling
program for the city. The commission shall work to maximize the recycling of solid waste in the city.

conservation of scarce resources.
